Mark Lansing, P.C.: Cases of Note

Wendy Maldonado
On August 15, 2012, Mark petitioned Governor John Kitzhaber for clemency on behalf of Wendy Maldonado, who has been incarcerated since 2006 for killing her husband under the most justifiable circumstances imaginable (but which did not meet Oregon's technical requirements for self-defense). Wendy and all four of her children lived in a state of constant fear as a result of her husband's daily physical and psychological torture. An HBO documentary describing the details of what happened (but not the most gruesome and compelling ones) can be found by clicking here.

Mark does not handle criminal matters, nor has he ever filed a clemency petition before this one. But no one else was doing it.

Burns Vs Spalding Mark Lansing argued for the claimant in court during the lawsuit of Burns v Spalding and Son and won for his client.

Katie Kemp Mark Lansing was the lead trial attorney for Katie Kemp when her pregnancy discrimination case went to the jury in late 2008, and again was co-counsel on appeal.
